You are seeing this page because you are using IPv4 address space!

If you are not using the University of Bristol network speak to your local support personnel or Internet Service Provider about IPv6! The University of Bristol will be offering IPv6 in the future.

Today is World IPv6 day, a global-scale test flight of IPv6 sponsored by the Internet Society. Organisations including the University have come together to enable IPv6 on their websites for 24 hours. The goal is to motivate organisations to prepare their services for IPv6 to ensure a successful transition as IPv4 address space runs out.

The address space used by the current version of the internet protocol, IPv4, is expected to run out in 2011. Without action, organisations risk increased costs and limited functionality online. IPv6 provides over 4 billion times more space.
